We specialize in artisan organic and gluten-free baked goods, which we craft by hand & heart in Central Oregon. Our offerings emphasize wholeness, realness, balance, and quality; nesting naturally in your daily rituals.
Our Story
Good Friend, originally 'Ogia', was was founded in 2020 by Marie Sonalet. Inspired by the corner bakeries in France where she was born, Marie envisioned blending the art of artisinal bread-making with deep nourishment. These breads are the fulfilment of that wish, a love letter to all.
What began as a simple gift to neighbors and friends has organically grown into breads and baking mixes shared in homes across the country, as well as our Oregon bakery. Our devotion and focus is steadfast: nourishing baked goods, shared joyfully, and 'good' friendship.
In preparation for a move back to Europe in 2025, Marie offered her 'good' friends, Beth & Jerek Lovey, to steward the business and to extend Marie's tremendous heart and exquisite curations to all who enjoy them.
In 2026, Good Friend ("Bon Ami," in French) was birthed.
Good Friend exists to offer nourishment that remembers humanity. To be a steady, joyful presence in the day. To show up like a true good friend — reliable, loving, and present. To be a part of building a world where belonging, compassion, and well-being are part of the everyday table.
